Hello!

My name is Sydney I am 23 years old and have lived in Simsbury my entire life.

When I was 10, I started petsitting. I would walk my neighbors dogs and check on them a few times a day when they were away. That’s when I realized I wanted to do something with animals.

I went to Suffield High School for the Agricultural program. This is where I gained knowledge about handling all animals from bunnies, snakes, horses, cows and dogs. In highschool I worked at a Farm in Simsbury and at a dog kennel in Windsor, CT. I got to see how the kennel and day daycare operated and thought that might be something I wanted to do. I graduated from Suffield High School’s Agricultural Program in 2018 and headed off to The University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT

At UCONN I studied Animal Science. I further improved my knowledge about all types of animals. I graduated with an associates degree mid covid and thought it would be a perfect time to go home and really figure out what I wanted to do.

I came home and thought I could start my petsitting back up. But it only slowly started to pick up due to country wide restrictions on travel. Two years ago I started working at a dog day care in Simsbury. I fell in love with the dogs and hanging out with them all day! Once the restrictions on covid started to lift up and people were allowed to travel my petsitting picked up VERY fast. I left the dog daycare to offer petsitting full time.

I started taking on challenging dogs with reactivity and separation anxiety because I have a dog of my own who has been through it. Dogs all deserve to be hiked and played with and I am here to ensure safety while doing so.

With my own dog I picked up nutrition, training and enrichment! I love to talk about it and would talk about it all day if someone let me.

I now offer nutrition consults. After dealing with my does allergies for years the vets really were not helping. I learned how to heal dogs from the inside out. Many problems stem from improper nutrition! I am here to help.

As you can see my love for animals started at a young age and my love only continues to grow!
